Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno encouraged Cisaat Village, Subang, West Java to enter the Tourism Village Network (Jadesta) through participation in the 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) event. .
“Cisaat tourist village is a village that has the potential for natural attractions, culture and creative economic products,” he said during a visit to Cisaat Village, Subang Regency, West Java, Saturday (5/3/2022).
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) supports Cisaat Village to become a tourist village included in Jadesta along with 100 other tourist villages.
“God willing, Subang Regency will become JAWARA (Glorified, Special and Champion). “ADWI 2022 registration is still open until March 31 2022,” explained Sandiaga.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy appreciated the village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) which has the slogan “Come as a guest and bring knowledge” for taking a role in building the village’s potential.
So, he added, it can revive the economy and open up as many job opportunities as possible so that society will become more prosperous.
“We are here to prepare the community to take these opportunities and hopefully increase income for the community,” said Sandiaga.
The potential of Cisaat Village that can be developed is the potential for pineapple fruit, educational tourism for dairy cow milk, and a program that has elements of sustainability, new and renewable energy, namely charcoal products from mahogany wood which have been exported.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy explained that in 2016 this village was designated by the Regent of Subang as a tourist village. Cisaat Tourism Village is also an educational tourism village which was visited by 1,254 tourists in 2016 and in 2019 this increased to 1,850 tourists.
“Subang is a destination that is not too far from Jakarta and offers attractive potential for tourists. What can be superior is the educational tourism because it is different from the others. “I hope this will become best practice for other tourist villages,” he said.
